Where are DitsyJaffa candles and wax melts made?

All DitsyJaffa candles and wax melts are hand-poured in small batches in England.

Our fragrances are inspired by all sorts of things – people, places, memories, moments and the occasional curious idea that makes us wonder, what would that smell like?

What makes DitsyJaffa different?

At DitsyJaffa, we like the idea that a candle can be more than something that simply smells nice. It can change the feel of a room, take you somewhere else, bring something back to mind or make you stop and think, ooh, what’s that?

Our scents are inspired by all sorts of things – from windswept coastlines and wildflowers to old greenhouses, coffee breaks, late nights and the wonderfully unexpected. Each one has its own personality, with scents for all sorts of moods, memories and people.

Every candle and wax melt is hand-poured in small batches using carefully selected fragrances and a coconut and rapeseed wax blend. Thoughtful, personal and made to be enjoyed.

What wax do you use?

DitsyJaffa candles are made using a coconut and rapeseed wax blend.

We chose this wax for its beautiful creamy appearance, excellent fragrance performance and clean-burning qualities.

How strong are your fragrances?

Fragrance strength is subjective and can vary depending on room size, airflow and personal preference.

We carefully test our fragrances to create a balanced scent experience that fills your home without being overwhelming.

How do I choose a fragrance?

Choosing a fragrance is personal, so we’ve created scent descriptions to help you discover the mood and feeling behind each collection.

Are DitsyJaffa candles vegan?

Yes. We use carefully selected vegan-friendly ingredients, including our coconut and rapeseed wax blend and fragrance oils.

We choose our materials from trusted suppliers and aim to create products that are kind to your home and thoughtfully made.

Are DitsyJaffa candles and wax melts safe to use around pets?

Our candles and wax melts are made for use in the home and should always be used responsibly.

As with any fragranced product, we recommend keeping candles and wax melts out of reach of pets and following the safety instructions provided. If you have concerns about a specific pet or fragrance, please consult your vet.

Are your candles and wax melts tested?

Yes. All DitsyJaffa candles and wax melts are tested to ensure they perform safely and meet the required standards before being available to purchase.

Do your candles come with safety information?

Yes. Candle safety information is included with every order and can also be found on our Safety Information page.

Why does my candle smell different when it’s burning?

Fragrance can develop and change once a candle is lit. The warmth of the melted wax allows the fragrance to be released into the room, creating a different experience from the unlit candle.

This is why we recommend experiencing your candle both before and during burning.

Why does my wax melt look slightly different to another one?

Because our wax melts are handmade in small batches, small variations in colour, texture and appearance can occur.

These differences are a natural part of handmade products and do not affect the fragrance experience.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Simply browse our collections, add your chosen products to your basket and complete checkout.

You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been placed.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will always do our best to help, but once your order has been prepared or dispatched, we may not be able to make changes.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No. You can place an order as a guest.

Creating an account is optional and allows you to view your order history and manage your details more easily.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are usually prepared and dispatched within 2–3 working days.

Once dispatched, delivery times will depend on the shipping option selected and your location.

Do you deliver across the UK?

We currently deliver throughout Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales).

We’re unable to ship to Northern Ireland or overseas destinations at this time, but we hope to expand our delivery options in the future.

Some remote areas, including parts of the Scottish Highlands and Islands, may require additional delivery time due to courier schedules.

Candle Care

How long will my candle last?

Our candles are designed to provide many hours of fragrance and enjoyment when cared for correctly.

Burn time can vary depending on the size of the candle, how it is used, wick care, room conditions and other factors.

How do I get the best burn from my candle?

To get the best performance from your candle:

• Allow the first burn to reach the edges of the container
• Trim the wick to around 5mm before each burn
• Do not burn your candle for longer than the recommended time
• Never leave a burning candle unattended

Following these steps will help your candle burn more evenly and allow you to enjoy it for longer.

Why does my candle have frosting or small imperfections?

Because our candles are handmade using natural waxes, small variations in colour, texture or finish can occur.

Natural waxes such as coconut and rapeseed wax can develop subtle surface changes over time. These variations are completely normal and do not affect the performance of your candle.

Can I reuse my candle jar?

Yes. Once your candle has finished burning, the jar can be cleaned and reused for storage, decoration or other household purposes.

To clean your jar, allow the candle to cool completely and remove any remaining wax and wick materials before washing.

Always take care when cleaning and reusing glass jars, and do not use a jar if it has been damaged or cracked.

Wax Melts

How do I use wax melts?

Place a wax melt in the well of a suitable wax melt burner and use with an appropriate tealight or electric warmer.

Always follow the safety instructions provided with your wax warmer.

How long will my wax melt last?

How long a wax melt lasts can vary depending on the size of the melt, your wax warmer and how much fragrance you prefer.

For the best experience, allow the wax melt to fully release its fragrance before replacing it.

Can I mix wax melts together?

Yes. Wax melts can be combined to create your own fragrance combinations.

You can experiment with different scents to discover new favourites and create a fragrance experience that feels personal to you.

Always follow the usage instructions provided and only use wax melts as directed.

Can I use candles and wax melts from the same fragrance together?

Yes. Using candles and wax melts from the same fragrance collection can help create a more immersive scent experience throughout your home.

If you’d like to send an order directly to someone as a gift, simply enter their address as the delivery address when placing your order.
