We want you to enjoy your DitsyJaffa candles and wax melts safely. Please take a few moments to read the guidance below before use.

Candle Care

Before Lighting Your Candle

  • Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface before burning.
  • Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn.
  • Remove any wick trimmings, matches or other debris from the wax before lighting.
  • Keep the candle upright and away from draughts.

Your First Burn

The first burn is important for creating an even melt pool and helping your candle burn correctly.

Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface, ideally reaching close to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures the candle performs at its best throughout its life.

During Burning

  • Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.
  • Keep the wick trimmed between burns.
  • If the flame becomes too large, flickers excessively or produces soot, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, and trim the wick before relighting.
  • Allow the candle to cool completely before moving it.

When to Stop Using Your Candle

Discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the container.

Continuing to burn a candle with very little wax remaining may cause the container to become too hot.

Candle Safety

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles away from children, pets, and anything that can catch fire.
  • Do not burn your candle near curtains, furniture, or other flammable materials.
  • Keep candles away from draughts, open windows, fans, and air conditioning.
  • Do not place candles directly on delicate or heat-sensitive surfaces.
  • Never move a burning candle or a candle containing liquid wax.
  • Do not use water to extinguish a candle.
  • Always extinguish your candle before leaving a room or going to sleep.

Glass Container Safety

Candle containers become hot during use.

Allow the candle and container to cool completely before handling or moving.

Do not use the candle if the glass becomes cracked, chipped, or damaged.

Wax Melt Safety

Wax melts are designed to be used with a suitable wax melt burner or electric wax warmer.

  • Always follow the instructions provided with your wax melt burner.
  • Never add water to melted wax.
  • Never leave a wax warmer unattended while in use.
  • Keep wax melts and warmers away from children and pets.
  • Keep away from flammable materials.
  • Do not touch melted wax while it is warm.
  • Allow wax to cool and harden before removing or replacing.

Applies to: Bloom Scented Candle & Bloom Wax Melt

Contains: Geraniol, Citronellol, Linalool, Linalyl acetate.
